Is your ball glove worth saving?

Ball Gloves to be repaired

Repairing ball gloves is an art. After twenty years of experience, there is nothing we won´t do to save your old favorite. Many gloves just need `fingers, pocket and wrap´ relaced, but we can bite off anything you throw at us. Here are just a few examples.

New Palm

This is the palm from a ball glove approximately 30 years old. On the left is what we had to work with, and the right is what we created. All of our ball glove palms are built out of horsehide leather. When is this practical?  This can be done to a glove that has little damage except for the palm and lace, or an antique restoration.

Old glove back

This is the backside of a catcher´s mitt, approximately forty years old. The external palm was restored, as well as fully relaced for an antique collector.

Many ball players hate to give up their old favorite, but don´t realize what can be done. The owner of this glove thought he was due for a new one, but decided to check with us first. We rebuilt the top of the pocket (note the darker area), relaced it and replaced the felt padding in the palm.

Black New Pocket
Brown new pocket

This ball glove was found in a field in the rain. The pocket was missing,  lace was old and rotten, and all of the stich work needed to be resewn. A pocket was designed by our creative staff, the glove was relaced, stitched, repadded and oiled.
